The Order of Saint Luke will gather in Retreat on October 25-28 at St. Paul of the Cross, 148 Monastery Ave, Pittsburgh PA. More information on the retreat will appear in this space as preparations continue. Please mark your calendars now!

The retreat leader will be Dr. Ruth Duck, who will guide us on the topic of "Reconciliation and Healing." Dr. Duck is a hymn writer and professor of worship at Garrett- Evangelical Theological Seminary in Chicago. An ordained pastor, Duck has written hundreds of hymn texts and published her own books of hymns. Duck has also authored Finding Words for Worship, which emphasizes the need for congregations to write their own prayers and hymns.

Those attending the Council Meeting (Elected officers, appointed officers, chapter priors, and provincial companions) should plan to arrive by noon on Monday, Oct. 25. Those just attending the retreat should arrive in time for dinner on Monday. The retreat will end with lunch on Thursday, Oct. 28. Those staying on for the remaining session of the Council meeting should plan to leave on Friday morning.
