Joining the Order

Join the Order

Before making the affirmation attached, we gently ask you to approach this decision with an attitude of prayer and perhaps a time of fasting and discernment. We do not take our affirmation lightly; we ask you to make your commitment before God and then record your affirmation here for your new brothers and sisters to share. We are not an "Internet" religious order; the Order has existed for more than a half-century. We provide the convenience of affirming your commitment through the Internet as a convenience, acknowledging that as a dispersed Order, we cannot always meet in person with each candidate. We depend on the Holy Spirit to call each new brother or sister. We can provide any seeker with more information and spiritual guidance, and will gladly do so on request.

Membership in the Order of Saint Luke is based upon an intentional commitment to the Rule of Life and Service. The payment of gifts and tithes is a spiritual discipline in support of the work of the Order of Saint Luke, but is not the basis of membership. All members are asked to reaffirm these vows annually on the Feast of Saint Luke, October 18th.

We have a special officer of the Order, our Companion for Inquirers and New Members, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . An email to Br. Matthias is a good first step in pursuing membership in the Order. We also ask that each member carefully examine themselves and try to discern God's call upon their life. Br. Matthias will work with you on this.

When you complete your time of discernment, please click here and print & fill the form out and mail it to the address below (also included on the form)
